Introducing Smartly’s New Navigation

At Smartly, we're constantly evolving our product to make our customers’ advertising experience smoother and more intuitive. Today, we're excited to introduce a big leap towards our renewed user experience (UX) with our new navigation system, which will be available for customers in January 2025.

Why the Change?

As we keep improving our user experience, we keep a keen eye on the overall ease of use of the product. To accommodate our expanding offering, our navigation needed an upgrade. The new navigation spearheads our holistic UX renewal towards an experience that’s intuitive, accessible, and delightful for all users. 

What's New?

A new look and feel

The new navigation introduces a big change in our look and feel, with a modern and visually appealing user interface. We’ve moved away from the horizontal top bar with a mega menu into a vertical, expandable main navigation.

New structure

We’ve streamlined the structure of the navigation by organizing items into clear, logical sections rather than displaying everything at once. This means less clutter and more clarity, making it easier for users to find what they need and effortlessly discover their next steps.

Introducing Focus Mode

To help users concentrate on what matters most, we're excited to introduce Focus Mode as part of our navigation renewal. While access to the main navigation will always be available, Focus Mode minimizes all unnecessary UI elements on screen. This streamlined interface reduces distractions, allowing users to focus solely on the task at hand, enhancing productivity. 

Optimized for Accessibility

Optimizing for accessibility ensures that all users, including those with disabilities, can efficiently interact with the system. Features like keyboard navigation and appropriate color contrast make the interface more inclusive.

Terminology updates

We've updated our terminology to better align with our core language of 'Media', 'Intelligence', and 'Creative'. This change brings consistency across our product and our entire digital presence, making it easier for users to navigate and engage with us seamlessly. 

Live support and Knowledge base access

Previously you could access our Support Chat and Knowledge base from the bottom right corner of the product. We’ve now moved access to both of these into the main navigation to further de-clutter the UI and dedicate the space to valuable, view-specific content.

At Smartly, we are passionate about building the best possible product and experience for our customers. Our renewed UX will bring with it a fresh look and feel, but more importantly, it will enhance the way you interact with our platform, making it more intuitive, enjoyable, and meaningful. 

Our Product Design team is working towards a more unified product with organized layouts, workflow-driven experiences, features that anticipate your needs–and of course AI at your fingertips to assist and accelerate your daily work. 

We're excited about this journey towards a better, more user-centric Smartly. Feedback from our customers has been instrumental in shaping these changes, and we can't wait to share them with you.
