GroupM Germany Receives World's First Smartly Certification; Customers See Significant Performance Uplift in Social Advertising

As the world's first certified agency partner of Smartly.io, GroupM Germany increases the performance of social advertising campaigns by at least 20 percent.

Düsseldorf, November 14, 2023 - GroupM Germany is now the world's first certified agency partner of Smartly.io, one of the largest global SaaS platforms for digital advertising. GroupM and Smartly.io have been working together since 2022. In July 2023, almost all 70 employees of GroupM's paid social department were trained and certified in order to enable significant performance uplifts for all customers of GroupM, Mindshare, Wavemaker and EssenceMediacom in the DACH region through the automation and AI support of Smartly.io's Predictive Budget Allocation (PBA) function, as well as new possibilities for paid social activation and the cross-channel shifting of advertising budgets.

Performance uplifts of up to 50 percent

For its customers with a social mandate, GroupM can use Smartly.io directly for all social advertising campaigns without its own booking process and address the respective target groups on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest and the Google Suite (Google Ads, DV360, YouTube) without having to make a precise definition at platform level beforehand. This booking flexibility provides the opportunity to react dynamically and automatically to the KPIs and optimize the campaigns accordingly. For the first 20 advertisers, for whom campaigns with Smartly.io were already implemented last year, GroupM Germany has achieved successful performance uplifts of at least 20 percent depending on the KPI on this basis. For example, performance campaigns for the natural cosmetics brand Annemarie Börlind were implemented with Smartly.io, in which the return on advertising (ROAS) was increased threefold and the cost per order (CPO) was improved by over 50 percent compared to campaigns without the use of the tool.
